Souvlaki Chicken Kebabs

Ingredients (Makes 6 Kebabs)

  • 450g chicken breast, diced

  • 75ml olive oil

  • 2 tsps dried oregano

  • 1 tbsp garlic granules

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1 tbsp lemon zest, finely grated

  • Per Kebab - 189 Calories - 1g Carbs - 18g Protein - 12g Fat

  • Serving suggestions not included

Preparation

  • Place all of the ingredients in a bowl, except for the lemon juice and zest, and stir well

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours

  • Soak 6 wooden skewers in cold water for 30 minutes, or prepare 6 metal skewers.

  • Thread the chicken onto the skewers

  • Place a non-stick frying pan over a medium flame

  • Add the skewers and fry for 4 minutes

  • Turn and fry for another 4 minutes or until thoroughly cooked

  • Top with the lemon zest and lemon juice

  • Serve with steamed vegetables or a Greek salad and pitta bread
