Chocolate Hazelnut Energy Balls

Ingredients (Makes 9 Balls)

  • 65g roasted chopped hazelnuts

  • 110g Medjool dates, pitted

  • 50g chocolate flavour whey or plant-based protein powder

  • 15g unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 60g nut butter of your choice

To coat:

  • 50g chopped pistachios and/or roasted chopped hazelnuts

Nutrition

  • Per energy ball: 175 calories, 8g protein, 11g carbs, 11g fat

Preparation

  • Place the energy ball ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until well combined.

  • Add 15ml cold water and blend again to form a thick paste. Add more water if required.

  • Scoop out 1 heaped tbsp of the mixture and place onto a plate.

  • Repeat until the mixture is all used up.

  • Pour the pistachios/hazelnuts onto a plate. Roll the energy balls in the chopped nuts until well coated.

  • Serve or freeze until ready to serve
