In my experience people place far too much value on individual workouts.
Is this the right sequence of exercises?
How many sets and reps should I do?
What type of load should I use?
This was me for many years. Too much thinking. Always looking for something better.
The reality is there is nothing special or magical about any particular workout (despite the claims of well-funded marketing departments!)
The magic happens when you start stringing workouts and performance improvements together, consistently, over an extended period of time.
Safety + Consistency + Progression = Fitness Success.
Almost any sequence of exercises, sets, reps. loads and rests can be made to work if you keep this formula in mind.
Useful to know if, like me, you find yourself overthinking your workout efforts.
