The fitness world is a very noisy space.
Magazine headlines, social media feeds, podcast interviews, disruptive adverts. There is always a new way to optimise your training.
Which causes a lot of confusion and bogs you down in unnecessary detail.
The antidote is minimalism.
Choose a handful of exercises which you can a) perform safely b) target multiple muscle groups and c) between them cover the vast majority of your body’s muscle mass.
Then for a period of time focus exclusively on maximising your performance in each one.
For example if you workout at your local park you could try a routine of push ups, pull ups and sprints. Or if you workout in the gym environment you could try a routine of leg press, chest press and horizontal row.
By focusing on minimalism you’ll save time, headspace and confusion whilst simultaneously deriving the vast majority of benefits hard exercise has to offer!
