If you want to make your chest and triceps really sore it’s hard to beat a set of (weighted) dips.
I used to do them a lot. And recommend them.
The problem is most of the soreness is caused by aggressively stretching the connective tissues of your shoulder joint while under load.
A perfect recipe for long-term aches, pains and strains.
There are things you can do to mitigate these issues like staying away from the extreme ranges of motion but to be honest this is one exercise I would probably add to the scrap heap.
There are simpler and safer alternatives!
