I recently read a piece in the newspaper about the rise in home gyms - and the increasingly extravagant budgets being set aside for their construction.
Weights which like ornaments.
Bikes which look like sculptures.
Mirrors which turn into screens.
Real estate agents, interior designers and architects are being told properties will only be considered if a luxury home gym is built-in to the deal.
Look, if I was loaded I would probably splash out on a home gym too.
But realise this...
Someone who spends $50,000 on fitness equipment will get no fitter than someone who heads to the park and performs sets of pull ups, push ups and sprints for free.
All the fancy stuff is really just for show!
