Ingredients (Serves 1)
50g jumbo oats (use gluten free if preferred)
200ml milk of your choice
20g creamy tahini
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
A small pinch of ground cardamom seeds (optional)
1 tsp finely grated lemon zest
1 tsp finely grated orange zest
25g vanilla flavour protein powder (optional)
1/2 tbsp maple syrup
3g pistachios, finely chopped

Preparation
Place the oats and milk in a saucepan over a medium flame
Cook for 4 minutes, stirring frequently until thick and creamy
Add more milk or cold water during cooking time, if the porridge becomes too thick
Add the tahini, cinnamon, cardamom, lemon and orange zest
Stir well and cook for 2 minutes
Remove the saucepan from the heat and leave to stand for 5 minutes
Add the protein powder, if using, and stir rapidly until smooth
Serve topped with maple syrup, pistachios, and a sprinkle of orange and lemon zest, if desired
