Often described as the king of upper body exercises, the pull up is a brilliant move for building muscle, strength and fitness in your arms, back and mid-section.
It’s you against gravity.
But what happens when performing pull ups is beyond your current fitness level?
No problem at all.
Simply use a looped resistance band to make the pull up easier.
At the bottom of the pull up (the hardest part of the move) the band is providing the most assistance. As you rise upwards and your muscles enter biomechanically stronger positions the assistance provided by the band begins to tail off. Bands allow anyone to add pull ups to their training routine. For more assistance simply use a thicker band.
