Circuit training refers to a workout format where you perform a series of exercises back to back before resting and repeating the circuit. This exercise format allows you to combine resistance training and cardiovascular fitness into a single workout routine. Circuits also allow you to complete a lot of work in a short space of time which is good for ramping up metabolic rate and burning more calories.
Example Circuit
- Push Ups x 10
- Bodyweight Rows x 10
- Reverse Lunges x 10/10
- Medicine Ball Swings x 10
- Bridges x 10
- Rest for 60 seconds then repeat
Typically you would perform each exercise within a circuit for reps or time.
