It’s human nature to compare how you match up to others. However in the field of exercise, particularly bodyweight exercise, this can be misleading.
Can you compare the pull up scores of a 70kg athlete to those of a 100kg athlete? I don’t think so. The latter might be stronger in an absolute sense but still struggle to match the pull up scores of the former. Same goes for any other bodyweight exercise.
Likewise certain body proportions and lever lengths will offer a distinct advantage (or disadvantage) in performing any given movement. If you have different body proportions to the person your sizing up it’s not a fair comparison.
Weight and body proportions. Two reasons why you shouldn’t compare your bodyweight training efforts to someone else!
The only person you should be comparing your workouts too is your former self.
