Drink Mostly Water

Drinking water and staying well-hydrated is beneficial to your health and energy levels.

Beyond the obvious, drinking water can also aid weight loss by replacing all the calorie-heavy drinks which have taken such a strong grip on the modern menu.

And these liquid calories can really add up.

A single cup of orange juice contains over 100 calories derived almost entirely from quickly absorbed sugar which can be consumed in a single gulp. At a rate of three glasses per day this would equate to more than 2000 calories a week, an extra day of food for many of us.

The picture does not get any prettier with other juices, soft drinks, energy drinks, milkshakes, calorific coffees and alcoholic beverages. Drinking water (or other zero calorie beverages like black coffee or green tea) means good hydration with fewer total calories!
